We may never know, [especially from this quintessential *quiet* Norman Rockwell community], was this mother/teacher under some stress at school?...if she was, this isn’t a New Haven/Hartford/Bridgeport school full of social misfits and all their attending problems...if the mom was stressed, why did son go to *her* classroom and kill all the children? Was he protecting her from stress....we may never know.

This tragedy made me think at first...Israel goes through their children being killed so many times by terrorists.I wonder how long WE would put up with that.

No excusing needed. We are all struggling with a "why." We may learn much later since father and brother are cooperating. If he was being seen by doctors...etc. His belongings will be searched---computer, writings phone, etc. I thought of Israelis also. I recently read that no school authority or guide in Israel takes a group of children anywhere without being armed. If that is true, I imagine authorities in their schools are armed as well. What we probably will never know is if one or two school authorities at Sandy Hook had been armed, how many lives might have been spared.
