Ok. Nothing about any of this, not reading it, just skimming on a /sunday eve.

Tarantino.

don’t get it. Two things, in addition to the obvious- that he produces sick as can be crap movies- an old aunt who grew up watching Vaudeville and the didn’t miss a movie during the depression then the War, and since, who saw every Woody Allen, Clint Eastwood, Barbra Streisand film known to man, showed up at the local cinema, you know, the one she’d walked to with every husband since outliving the other two, for the past 62 years, to se “Pulp Fiction”.

Ticket taker says, for the first time, “No, you do not want to see this movie”. Of course she takes his advice (we
re talking years ago, when it was out).

The other- my sisters highly recommended “Reservoir Dogs” as they “knew I would like the characters”. After many years, as I had a bad feeling about it, I saw it, as it was on my TV and I had nothing to do.

It was a waste of time, but it was so vacuous, senseless, pointless, gross, depressing, unredeeming and forgettable that I didn’t even get back to my sisters, it would have been so embarassing (as they rightly esteem my views on such things, for reasons I’ll explain later).

It was almost as wasteful as “Gone With the Wind”. It’s up there.

Can not understand the attraction to vacuous violence.
