House Bill 4353: Mandate schools have “epi-pens”
Passed 27 to 11 in the Senate on December 12, 2013, to mandate that public schools must have at least two staffers who are trained in the administration of an epinephrine auto injector, and at least two of these “epi-pens” on site. This is a syringe prefilled with epinephrine which is used to treat anaphylactic reactions.
