Just this week President Obama celebrated Rosa Parks by publishing a photo of himself on a bus and now the White House can't even commemorate Pearl Harbor without bringing Obama's face into the picture. From the White House Twitter feed:

My cousin traveled in Spain when Franco was alive.

He said you could’t move in that country without running into an image of Franco or seeing “Generalissimo Franco” plastered all over the place... the bus, the plaza, the market, the train station, the airport, the schools, the hospital, even the MEN’S room!!! ...etc.

While I always thought they were Time Clocks.

But no, these large 'clocks' are what the British called concentration dials. Developed towards the end of WWI, they were part of a system to concentrate the fire of several ships onto the same target.

AKA a Range Clock.
