Why did the Asian vote go to Obama?
They believe in hard work, family, study/education, and start their own businesses and have fled from Gov’t domination.
So what gives?

It’s swing state Asians that matter. We don’t care if they live/vote in CA.

As for the Somali’s or any other legal voter they bused in: we should have had vans driving the hills of southern Ohio the Sunday before election day also offering rides to the polling place.

The problem is there's absolutely no clear evidence that anything happened we don't already know about. For instance in Hawaii the Japanese Americans and the Democrat party are one and the same.

All Indian Americans other than the Governors of South Carolina and Louisiana are democrats, and so are all the Paks.

The exit polling used as the basis for the assumption that all asians voted for Obamugabe was hardly scientific and not very widespread in any case.

Just more junk science.

Because the of the long term Democratic propaganda that Republicans are the exclusive party of xenophobic white males. Any white women in the Republican party are abused, co-dependents who are subservient to the dominant male(s) in their lives.

Asian-Americans are one of the fastest growing population groups and have topped the Hispanics in immigration. Asians account for 5 percent of the population now. When Romney talked about “self-deportation” of immigrants in the primaries, that turned the Hispanics as well as the Asians off. The big thing is immigration policy and they do not see the Republicans as on board with their interests.

Also, Asian-Americans are not in tune with the Christian focus of the Republican party. Asians are a very diverse religious group. They are not looking at Christianity as a benefit to them.

Asians do not see the Republican attack on big government in their best interest either. They tend to cite jobs, education and health care as issues most important to them and generally prefer a big government that provides more services.

“Why did the Asian vote go to Obama?

The answer flies in the face of neo-conservative dogma — which has been embraced by all too many who call themselves conservative.

Traditional American conservatism is a set of philosophical and moral values that was the creation of one ethnic group, which evolved through both experience and reason. And after a few hundred years, those values remain appealing within the confines of that same ethnic group.

Other ethnic groups just don’t seem interested in it, in larger than token numbers.

To put it another way, it’s as if the neo-cons believe that anyone and everyone can be “just like us”, if only given the opportunity. It assumes everyone (and every group) is “the same”. But to believe that is as much a fallacy as the notion that “all cultures are equal”. They are not.

If we wanted America to remain culturally unified, why did we do everything possible to Balkanize it? What other country anywhere in the world composed of unlike ethnic groups has remained united for very long?

The United States shall go down in the world’s history as first nation to ever deliberately Balkanize itself — and to fail for having done exactly that.
