And for anyone with a brain to equate Boehner with Stalin is going to extremes. I'm old enough to remember Stalin and his killing of millions.
Freepers who fall for this crazy talk are nuts and incapable of individual thought.
So, just exactly what votes of theirs do you object so strenuously to?
BTW - you’d better back up your little invective-spewing Prius there, granny. You don’t know me, and you have no legitimate reason to vent on me.
Another BTW - a person can refer to Stalin-like tactics or Hitlerian methods without equating anyone to either. Stalin used strong-arm tactics (like boehner has just used), Hitler used the tactic of blaming a scapegoat and whipping emotions into a froth (like barry does). Pointing out similarities in another politician’s tactics is NOT tatamount to calling them a mass murderer. Like, if I stated that you had Jane Fonda’s eyes, only an idiot would think I was claiming you sat on anti-aircraft guns.
I checked through some of their voting record - which is probably more than you have done (I’ll bet somebody told you how they voted on one or two things and you formed your opinion of their entre voting record from that) - and of the 40 or 50 votes I reviewed for each, I found nothing alarming - I saw consistent, principled records. Would I have voted exactly the same, probably not exactly, but pretty darn close.
So again, deary, I ask you - which of their votes has your dander up? Or are you just reflexively protecting boehner?
Boehner does not vote on most tthngs - brave stance there. But he DID vote to raise the debt ceiling and he also voted for the balanced budget amendment.
So - he drags his sorry behind to the voting machine to cast a vote to balance the budget and another one to allow the government to borrow more money to...wait for it...it’s coming...SPEND!!!
Now - what votes of the outcasts are you so twitterpated about???
” you’re part of this rabid mob here on FR who wants to believe the worst about Boehner.”
What has he ever done right?
” He may deserve some criticism when this is over but not now and not over the removal of these members.”
He only removed conservatives.
Well then you should also remember there were a whole lot of people who either knowingly or unwittingly helped Stalin rise to power to kill the millions. Perhaps history will show Boehner to to be an unwitting accomplice.
Are you familiar with the terms “analogy” and “hyperbole?”
True enough, Boner isn’t literally as bad as Stalin - though we don’t really know what he’d do given unfettered power.
But are you also familiar with the phrase “damning with faint praise?”
Would you feel better if the poster, rather than use the shorthand term “Stalinist,” used the more literally apt term “unprincipled lying RINO weasel turncoat collaborator dirtbag who would sell his first-born into slavery for a flattering article in the New York Times or a highway project in his district?”
Doesn’t exactly roll off the tongue.
