Of course. Without it you would become insolvent a lot faster. National Defense is the FIRST necessity for a strong economy.

Wrong again Old Man. Without a strong economy, there is no defense,
no Social Security, no nothing. I have been tracking your comments
about the conservatives who you call Paul-ties, being removed from
committees because they were open to cuts in defense.

For someone so old, you sure have a short memory.
Two years ago, when Bonehead did his kabuki dance over raising the
Debt ceiling, the Grand Bargain Bonehead and the GOP VOTED for
Was to CUT defense spending. So you are a hypocrite in defending
the removal of these conservatives, yet conveniently forget what the
GOP actually voted for, as a condition to raising the Debt Limit.
That Grand Bargain that passed the GOP House MAJORITY passed two years
ago had automatic defense cuts as part of the deal.

No, despite your thinking you know me, I have not forgotten. I have no problem with cuts being made to all agencies...INCLUDING Defense.

However, the Paul-ites want much deeper cuts. They weren't even in favor of going in to topple Hussein.

Once you have a country (economy) you MUST have a strong defense to protect it. Without it, your economy topples.
