New York's Gabriel Sherman reports that Fox News is scaling back airtime for Republican pundit Karl Rove, in what appears to be a reprimand for Rove's meltdown during the network's live election broadcast.
Sources told Sherman that Fox News chief Roger Ailes has ordered his staff to bench Rove and his fellow GOP pundit Dick Morris, two of the network's most vocal partisan voices whose predictions turned out to be spectacularly wrong. According to Sherman, producers must now get permission before booking Rove or Morris on Fox shows.
The move comes as Fox takes steps to rehab its image in the wake of Republican defeats this November. Rove, in particular, has been widely mocked by members of both parties, both for his onscreen tantrum and for the abysmal performance of his American Crossroads super PAC.

Is Hannity crying on his show tonight over the firing of his good buddy Rove.
Would not be surprised that FNC has finally heard enough from its Conservative base viewership...and Rove and Morris had to be pulled back.
I know a few Conservatives who let FNC and some its advertisers know that Rove (especially) goes...or they go
Rove is a CFR Free Trader Communist Globalist who is the biggest threat to the American conservative movement. Morris is a pervert who worked for Bill Clinton....engineered Bibi Netyanahu’s loss is the Israeli elections in his first tenure as PM. Morris is and was never a conservative
I must be really dense, but where was the “onscreen tantrum”? I’m no fan of Rove’s by any stretch, but he seemed to be raising valid points in that video. This author seems to just have an ax to grind.
Ah man, that is a pretty darn good summary of the GOP.
F-IN nowhere...
They are so utterly ineffective that it causes me to say that no group that calls itself professional anything could possibly be this bad at their profession. They are doing this on purpose.
Nothing else makes sense to me with regard to the GOP.
I've explained the serious problems in those polls over the last year, but it's possible that neither Rove or Morris had been informed that they weren't just wrong, but there was an inherent and very damaging error in the way they were conducted that allowed a small group to bias the results to favor Romney.
Unbeknownst to most folks Gallup added a question about sexual orientation to every poll they conducted. What that did was attract the attention of homosexuals all over the country. Due to the fact that response rates were down to about 9% (out of all calls made), all homosexuals needed to do was maintain a 100% response rate and they'd end up being overrepresented about 1100%!
So, why would homosexuals favor Romney and not Obama? hmmm ~ pomade perhaps? gay marriage ~ a number of other things.

Fox should cut Shep, Colmes, Harris Faulkner, Reilly, “Whore-raldo”, leave Beckel.
You should take a good look at the presidential vote totals by party for 2004, 2008 and 2012 ~ FIRST.
What the hell did Harris Faulkner ever do to be included with that bunch? I must have missed that.
Hear, hear.
if Boehner is up to what he seems to be up to he will be among the first to know what it means to be purged.
Beckel is very like able person and should stay. Shepard Smith is a weasel lib and should leave. Juan Williams is an idiot and should go back to NPR.
Karl can pull a Glenn Beck, and start his own competing network against FOX, and we might end up with a republican or conservative media network, instead of the “slightly to the right of center” FOX.
Karl should drop a hint, and I’ll be glad to help him out in that effort.
Harris...may be what Shep wishes he was. She’s Fox’s answer to affirmative action and a nasty piece of work.

..............Republican..........Democrat
2004.....62,040,610.........59,028,444
2008.....59,948,323.........69,498,516
2012.....60,710,020.........65,355,488
It's pretty obvious the Democrats are off 4 million in 2012 from their high in 2008, yet they are 6 million ahead of 2004.
The Republicans fell 2 million in 2008 from their high in 2004, and were only 1 million behind the 2004 result.
As soon as you account for population growth it all looks worse for everyone. At the same time there's no sign that any significant number of 'undecideds' were involved in any of this.
OK, I get it. I just never saw that in her.
