I agree, but we need to do more to win presidential elections that are winnable. But I agree we need to start small, but time is running out. Obamacare will be going into effect if we don’t stop it at a state level or cut it in the house. I trust more state representatives than the House to do something meaningful.

If the so-cons or tea party can’t even come up with someone to beat Jeb Bush then why even talk about a third party?

They do have Tea Party Caucuses in both the House and Senate. Some of our tea party guys in the senate refused to join it because they had another conservative committee they felt was similar and they had too much on the plate. But they got about 6 or so members in the senate.

The house version is very active though. Michele Bachamnn runs the House Tea party caucus. The same Bachmann that many people on here trashed when she ran for president.

We can’t win with the infighting. We need the next primary to just have one conservative in the race because four or five will attack each other and split votes. And they all want to win and will hold out until it is too late to stop the rino from winning.

Jim DeMint runs the committee in the senate.

Y agree that it can be done if we have the will and the right backing. And then we can nominate a Allen West or a Sarah Palin instead of a John McCain or Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush, all leftists.

The GOP is not the Republican party, it is the Bush party and I want no part of it. Count me in for a Tea Party.

So..............we just go along to get along do we? Well, that’s the poison that has killed the Republican party and now you suggest that we, like the Jews going into the boxcars, just quit fighting for what’s right and go along with the RINOs to the point that all of our freedoms have been compromised away to the enemy (Marxist Democrats) and we all lose?

No thank you, I know when milk has gone sour and the time to buy a new bottle.....and that time has come.

Your not going to garner extra votes in Eastern States with more conservative candidates you will actually lose votes and with the third party candidate you will just split the vote and it is going to be hard getting candidates on the ballots in allot of the states! Ronald Reagan would have a hard time winning now with the MSM in the bag for the Democrats..

” Eastern States with more conservative candidates you will actually lose votes and with the third party candidate you will just split the vote and it is going to be hard getting candidates on the ballots in allot of the states!”

Your not going to win the northeast states anyway. Plus, many current House and Senate members would probably switch parties to the Tea Party giving it a jump start.

Really? It is called money and organization. once they get that they might be able to win... However there are some conservatives will vote for the Republican no matter what thus splitting the vote!! Dem wins!!!

And there will be some Dems that will vote for a Tea party candidate. And a lot more Independents than currently vote GOP.

I don’t think it’s at all clear that a Tea party candidate couldn’t win.

What IS clear is that a GOP candidate can’t, unless he can lock up the Conservative base.

“You lose 20% gain 5% you lose!”

Seems to me you are just making up numbers, hoping someone will think you know what your talking about.

If the conservatives deserted the republican party, the republican party would just be a shell. And not that much different than the Democrat party. So now you have two liberal parties to split votes, and a conservative party in opposition.
