House Speaker John Boehner and GOP leadership have removed several conservative House members from their respective powerful committee positions, Breitbart News has learned.
Effective next Congress, leadership pulled Kansas Republican Rep. Tim Huelskamp, Michigan Republican Rep. Justin Amash and Arizona Republican Rep. David Schweikert off committees from which they could exert conservative pressure on fiscal matters. Amash and Huelskamp were pulled from the Budget Committee and Schweikert from the Financial Services Committee.
Huelskamp, a freshman elected during the 2010 tea party wave, thinks the leadership move to pull him from the powerful committee is revenge for him standing up for conservatism. It is little wonder why Congress has a 16 percent approval rating: Americans send principled representatives to change Washington and get punished in return, Huelskamp said in a Monday night statement. The GOP leadership might think they have silenced conservatives, but removing me and others from key committees only confirms our conservative convictions. This is clearly a vindictive move, and a sure sign that the GOP Establishment cannot handle disagreement."

It just keeps getting worse..
Anybody still wondering why we eneded up with Romney thanks to the GOP E.?
They are not Conservative. They are Democrat insurgents.
Time for a real 3rd party.
Whoever runs against Bonehead ...I’ll donate to.
Speaker Ryan... I like the sound of that.
The RINOs are exerting their power. I agree, it is time for another party as the RNC has been hijacked by zombies from the Democrat liberal side. We have been sold out.
More proof that GOPe is really just Demo-crap Lite.
Time to build up something from among the conservative splinter parties, perhaps. Let the pubbies and their handlers among the progressives dispense with the charade.
More GOP-E purging PING!
I’m ready for a third party.
The GOP has demonstrated over and over again they cannot be trusted with the conservative vote and only use conservatives for their own purposes. Once they have the conservative vote, then they bash us or ignore us.
If the conservatives band together into a third party, the GOP will have to come to us for our vote. If they chose NOT to come to us and we split the vote, it cannot be worse than it has been under Obama’s first term or will be under Obama’s next 4 years.
This is not going to end well for Boehner and the GOP-E in 2014, that is certain.
That’s OK GOP.
I will leave. As will most of the rest of the conservatives.
You know us. We are the ones who do most of the volunteer work and give most campaign donations...
Maybe the “moderates” will pick up the slack.
Please pay attention to the political history of ILL-ANNOY. It will be repeated in Washington. Same pattern of both parties conspiring to screw the poeple. Wake up people, we are SO screwed. A third party is sounding better, or possibly a coup in the GOP-e and boot the “-e”.
At the moment the GOP is self-immolating.
The last election may have been the final election the GOP can win, with its current agenda.
Buying foreign. Laying off Americans The works.
That has played out, and now 50% (and growing) of Americans are either liberal, or out of work. It will only get worse from here with the current GOP.
What we need is a break. A new party perhaps. Someone needs to lead it, then we can start and run with it.
American jobs. American growth. American strength.
Who will step up?
Anybody left that still thinks the GOP wants Conservatives? I sent a letter of resignation to the state GOP leader three weeks ago. This probably explains why he didn’t answer.
Are you ready for Speaker Pelosi II? Get used to it, because the GOP is going down in flames in 2014. Get the TEA Party rolling.
Interesting. Thanks for posting. “We’re All Socialists Now” ALERT!
GOP-e are fools who are fooling themselves.
`Free Republicans’ has a nice ring to it. The FNP.
The 2014 elections are a big concern. I loathe to imagine the presidency and both chambers of congress under the control of democrats.
No $$$ to these gop-e bums...ever.
