My guess is that they probably would. I can’t recall it off the top of my head but there was a previous post that stated that the family sold the property to the feds in the 1970s to protect it from developers. The “protection from developers” phrase leads me to believe that they were environmental idiots.

Marin County is a very beautiful place and across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco so very desirable as a bedroom community. In the 1970s the county and it’s residents decided to restrict building in many places. The effect was that the price of real estate sky rocketed and is still very high, not depriciating in any real manner.
This family sold out to that “we have ours so who needs other poor folks around to dirty up our pristene place” and I don’t really feel sorry for them.
I lived in Marin for 35 years.
