Do you forgive someone who has committed murder? Do you forgive a terrorist? Let’s say there was a a child growing up in a home where he or she had no mother and their father was no where to be found, so they were passed around to various foster homes, this now grown adult falls in with the wrong crowd, and he or she is forced into the porn industry due to a drug addiction that was forced on them by an abusive man or woman, they have never had any foundation for religion, and this person commits murder to get away from this abusive man or woman, and they are executed for their crime. Now, will this person, who has never had stability nor a religious foundation due to the circumstances they were born into, be saved? Having never known Jesus all their lives. Are they given a chance at redemption?
Exactly, church going Christians are in for a big surprise when they see who gets into Heaven first, Jesus Christ loves everyone equally, yet He would rather spend time with drug addicts than someone who attends church every Sunday, the saved are with him, yet the weak need Him more!
“This is the way of a whore: She eats and wipes her mouth and says, ‘I’ve done nothing wrong.’”
Proverbms 30:20
What are you talking about? You said that Christians judge others but not themselves. I said that Christians do judge themselves, and your statement is silly and smacks of your projecting your own feelings on others (”mind reading”).
So your answer is that pile of drivel about a hypothetical situation that we were not discussing?
As for whom I forgive or don’t, I neither forgive nor judge strangers and hypothetical persons at all. That is entirely up to God Almighty, and certainly not me.
There is something to be said for not starving.
Well, at least it wasn't an Afghan Hound. ☺
You’re doing an admirable job of judging and condemning the rest of us yourself.
Salvation is through Jesus and Him only, no matter who they are or what they’ve done. No excuse.
Your harsh judgment of other Christians is exactly the thing you are condemning in them. The only difference is that you are condemning other Christians instead of condemning the prostitutes or murderers. Take the log out of your own eye.
Matter of fact, your diatribes smack more of DU trollishness, just to stir the pot against Christians, than any real concern for them. Your obsession over the porn industry is also disturbing. ALL people need salvation, not just porn stars.
My worst sin of the past week (or more really) was drinking a banana flavored drink that belonged to my daughter and then failed to buy a replacement before she was wanting it.
Maybe I should prostitute so I can get a little respect and understanding. /s
Do you forgive someone who has committed murder? Do you forgive a terrorist?
Do you forgive Christians?
Well said.
Oh I forgive Christians, what I have a hard time with are those who live sheltered lives, go to church every Sunday, pat themselves on the back for a job well done, then continue through the week treating others like dirt neither adhering to Christ’s teachings, yet because they go to church they get a pass. You wonder why so many people have fell away from the church, well, you can blame the Jim Bakers, Pat Robertsons, and the Schullers who build elaborate monuments to God off the backs of their flocks, Jesus was born in a manager not a mansion!
As far as ministers, they tend to place themselves above their flock as if they are a direct link to God, they are not, we all have a direct line to God, even a porn star! We have a minister here in town a “Christian” as it were his whole family including his kids drive Corvettes, they profit off the back of their flock, yes, I’m judging him, should I, no, I will tell you one thing, I have more respect for a porn star trying to find Jesus than that minister who feels he can interpret Jesus’s word while profiting off the backs of his flock!
Hail the wisdom of women....
LOL! I forgot all about that. Thanks for the laugh! :^)
And you know NOTHING about any of the FReepers to whom you are talking, and whom you are judging and about whom you are making these baseless assumptions.
You are worse than those you are condemning. You are a hypocrite.

So, you have a criteria by which you judge Christians?
Second, never underestimate human nature’s ability to rationalize anything. And I mean anything.
I never do.
I am sick of you judging me, you don’t know me, leave me alone!
Physician heal thyself. You've been doing nothing but that to the rest of us.
Nor do you know us and yet you've been doing nothing but judging us since you got on this thread with your sanctimounius, holier-than-thou attitude.
And if you want people to leave you alone, stop PMing them and judging them as you did me. I didn't ask for it. You initiated it and yet you're whining about people handing it back.
Don't dish it out if you can't take it.
Sin is a choice, NOT a sickness.
