Anyone who is STILL in Congress 20 years later after signing a pledge has been here too long. I agree that they sign it and the subject, but 20 years is way past the expiration date for Congress. Vote all of them out. They are too interested in being part of the club than being for the people who vote them in.
After 20 years of begging for campaign money, schmoozing with lobbyists for special interest groups, and flirting with young interns no doubt most of these politicians have accumulated a large FBI file. It may be each of these principled politicians is having pressure applied. Better to endure the wrath of some conservative constituents for a few days than be resigning in disgrace tomorrow when the FBI file gets dropped off at the New York Times or CBS News.
The fix is in. We will have higher taxes and no spending reform. The reality is, the Republicans in the House can change the game today by refusing to appropriate money for green energy, Obamaphones, billions in aid to Uganda, not to mention wasteful entitlement programs. The fact they don’t tells me their real masters are satisfied with the status quo.
I notice there is no talk on the Democrat side about compromise and flexibility. Seems like we are being set up for a total capitulation.
Now, they stay for the pay and to not make any waves!
