Come on, everyone! How long is this one going to take?
Our 4th Quarter FReepathon is now into its 56th day, which I think, is both a heartbreaking shame and also outrageous. Free Republic is the premier online gathering place for independent, grass-roots conservatism on the whole on the Internet!
You all love Free Republic or you wouldn't be here. You all know that we hold FReepathons every quarter to finance Free Republic. What you might not know, or realize, is that our quarterly FReepathons raise the funds to finance that quarter's expenses - the current expenses, so it's hardly right to burden Jim, is it?
Ideally, FR needs every member and regular user to contribute to keep Free Republic up and running strong., but sadly, that's not the case. If it were, our FReepathon's would conclude in a matter of a few short weeks.
Time and time again, our loyal membership contributes several times, aside from their Monthly Donations, and other loyal members send checks and donate more than once.
Ask yourselves, can you forgo a pizza or a hamburger, fries and shake once a month to Donate Monthly or contribute $20 to FR now to help us get this done? $5.00 a Month makes you a hero here! Think what $10 and more makes you!
We have a New Monthly Donor Campaign wherein generous FReeper Sponsors have donated $10.00 for every New Monthly Donor or New Dollar-A-DAY Donor! Please consider signing up to donate monthly, if you possibly can. We're currently looking for New Monthly Donor #50!
We also have I_be_tc's "300 FReepers with $100 for FR Challenge" and it's still going strong!!
"FReepers are absolutely the greatest," just like Jim says, and you always come through, but it shouldn't always be the same loyal FReepers supporting Free Republic!
It's really time for new members and regular users to understand that Free Republic is here for all of us, and that all of us should want to pitch-in to keep the Premiere grassroots site on the whole of the Internet for God, Family, Country, Life & Liberty, TEA Party, Conservatives, independent and running strong!

Tonight at bedtime I start a higher dose for my vagal neuropathy and may less comatose soon. Haven't slept well the better part of a week; wouldn't have been so long if it wasn't for the long weekend.
Anyway, it's snowing like dandruff, sparsely, and the temp is cool enough for it to stick on the lawn so I'm sticking around possibly dozing once in a while like yesterday. Vagal neuropathy had a number of symptom. One of mine is constant coughing preventing sleep.
That is all.

Prayers for your doctor to administer the proper medications for you to recover completely. I looked that up, and it definitely does not sound pleasant in the slightest. Get all better soon, dear.

Born with a rare kidney thing, other medical issues have arisen over the years and may have led to vagal neuropathy and the neuropathy probably led to diabetes, hypothyroidism, and other little dainties.
Discovering this neuropathy and having treatment available for it has been a new adventure. It's been so many years since I've slept it's easy to expect interesting times ahead.
