If West had done better in a GOP district then he'd not have had to worry about his loss in a democratic district. True there were some 3,000 votes less in the CD race than voted in the Presidential race. West lost the CD by some 1900 votes. West got some 7,300 less votes than did Romney in Martin County.

You cannot say that with absolutes because he did not get a complete recount of how many voters voted twice or were legal/illegal. That is the injection some are making. We have a lot of illegals in Florida, too.
