Barack Obama: hardly off to a flying start
It is only two weeks since his re-election, and his second term remains two months away, but Barack Obama is already blundering again on the world stage, with the kind of gaffes that would have been plastered on the front page of The New York Times if they had been committed by George W. Bush when he was in the White House. Obama's first term was littered with foreign policy gaffes, and there is every chance the second term will be more of the same.
On his trip to Asia this week, President Obama struggled to pronounce the name of Aung San Suu Kyi, the most prominent human rights activist in the world. As The Associated Press reports (hat tip: Drudge Report):
As Obama stood next to the world's most recognized democracy icon, he mispronounced her name repeatedly.
Ever gracious, Suu Kyi did not correct her American guest for calling her Aung YAN Suu Kyi multiple times during his statement to reporters after their meeting.
Proper pronunciation for the Nobel laureate's name is Ahng Sahn Soo Chee.
Obama also “botched” his greeting of Burma’s new president, according to the AP:
The meeting came after Obama met with Myanmar's reformist new President Thein Sein – a name he also botched.
As the two addressed the media, Obama called his counterpart "President Sein," an awkward, slightly affectionate reference that would make most Burmese cringe.

He took his campaign speech 'FORWARD' there & is taking credit for all the democratic guidance that President Bush gave to those people.
Obama is taking credit as if he did it all in the last 4 years.

Even an idiot President should know better than to hug an Asian woman like that. Because he has aides and advisers to tell him the proper ettiquite. But Obama has been making these mistakes for four years, and he is continuing to do so.
Why? Because not only is he stupid and unaware of anyone’s feelings but his own, but because ALL of his advisers are clueless. From his Secretary of State on down, not a single one of them is competent at their jobs. Not one.
Hillary has never done an honest day’s work in her life. Our Sec Defense is a corrupt Communist idiot. Our UN Ambassador is a Communist idiot. Our EPA head is a Communist idiot. And on down the line.
I doubt whether even Bo’s handler knows what he is doing. Although he’s probably paid more than any of us has ever made.
Did anyone believe he would suddenly become competent and actually pay attention to details?

Really...why does this even matter anymore - he can do anything he pleases and the world accepts it. he must be the most supreme teflon-coated man among men. Not only am I clueless, but seriously disillusioned and depressed. I need to disengage from this circus.
