Mark gets it!
GO SARAH!
Are you surprised? In its infinite wisdom, the GOP-e decided to foist the guy who lost to the guy who lost to Obama in 2008 on us.
Make sense now?
Where’s the ‘like’ button, dammit.
You give me far too much credit, brother. I sucked my share of liberal Kool-Aid when I was a young skull full of mush.
The only thing that saved me were the core values I absorbed as a young child. They're what I came full circle to, when I got old enough to see things for myself.
I lived cheek-by-jowl with the horde long enough to thoroughly understand their mindset. I marinated in the same juices they did, for a very long time. I guess I just never cured all the way through :-)
Sniff, Sniff...
What is that odor? Smells familiar....
Buuuuump!
Seen Greece lately?
I didn't get a chance to meet her, logistical family issues but a couple of my close friends did.
Their synopsis of Sarah?
* She is the real deal
* They had never met someone with rock star status that when she speaks with you she is doing so focused on you and her mind is not elsewhere.
* They were taken back by her humility and her greatfulness of all the little things the volunteers did for her.
So I ask, what are the powers that be afraid of?
The most popular Governor in America with a 93% approval rating while she is reforming the corrupted state government and angering both parties, an actual hunter, and a daughter of school teachers, married to a tribal Indian, a union guy who is a world class competitor when he isn't being an oil field worker, and commercial fisherman (the family business), and the best looking man in politics, (he should be the toast of TV America and women's media), and her having gotten into politics from the PTA and as a housewife and fisherman's wife.
Palin's Parents and their humble but God fearing home, this isn't the Kennedys, or Romneys, or Bushes, these aren't even a rich grandmother and grandfather raising her in Hawaii.
If the people from the two parties really meant what they say about females.
Have fun over the next four years. If there’s nothing to save by then you can stand proud over the pile of rubble. Morons.
You still don’t get it. The Tea Party touts itself as being outside the GOP and capable of influencing WHO the GOP nominates. Neither of those happened this time, nor does the influence seem to be growing-—especially for th reasons you cite,
Why couldn’t Tea Party get. Steelman nominated? The point is, you can’t have it both ways. If the Tea Party is as powerful and influential as Levin says, it should be able to win these races. If it can’t get people like Mourdock elected and Steelman nominated, then it’s not as influential or powerful ad Levin says.
As an individual I am pro-life, pro gun rights, strongly pro capitalist, pro family, religious and not too keen on gay marriage. My political views are largely conservative and I agree with everything in your post. But in the last few years I’m feeling more and more like the Republican party is leaving ME.
Every election cycle Republicans seem to get into this trap of having to debate their stance on Roe vs Wade, social programs like welfare and food stamps, previous administrations decisions and numerous other distractions.
I’m finding myself to be more aligned with the Libertarian party which advocates pretty much everything in your post. While I don’t agree with everything in their platform, I believe freedom and smaller government comes before anything else. If the Republican party would stay away from the issues that are unsolvable within the time frame of one or two administrations and avoid this trap that is set during every election cycle most Libertarians, Constitutionalists, the Tea Party and others would get on board with the Republican party.
Conservatives need to get rid of all these two faced RINO’s and put Republicans in office that can emphasize to people how many of the freedoms they have lost under a government that has run amok with federal agencies, regulations and other things that are destroying the American way of life. The real injustices going on are obvious. Quit wasting time on issues that just keep going around in circles and give the edge to these socialists trying to destroy our country.
Sorry for the rant. Hope I don’t get banned.
If the Tea Party expects to be a force, it cannot blame the "GOPe" or Karl Rove for its defeats. Otherwise, you'll have to credit the GOPe and Rove with its victories.
But that was the whole claim of the Tea Party in 2010---that it had influence and power outside of the GOP. The quickest way to become a real force is to admit failures and correct them rather than pretend they were someone else's fault.
It worked in Canada
Conservatives hold the country now.

(yes, I know - it’s wiki - but good overview)
Look North^^^
This is almost impossible. We've tried for years with lil to no gain in conservative control.
Two steps forward, one step back it seems. Then we go into a hole for 8 years with Clinton then Obozo.
The liberal progressives, Enviro-nuts, Socialist have gained firm control.
Republicans are a bunch of spineless capitulators. They have little will to fight for conservative values.
Lower taxes? Smaller government? Rule of Law? Liberty/Freedom? Fiscal responsibility?
Where are our Republican leaders?
Your point?
This and other reasons is why I believe the King of Kings is coming back, “soon and very soon” to bring about a new Heaven and a new earth once and for all.
