Yes, but...
Chris Rock would be in it instead and making racist comments about rich white guys, you know, the ones who are the job producers...the hated class...making fun of them is ok and very unifying to the country. Sarc off/

Springtime for Hitler would be too offensive for gays.

Every time I watch Blazing Saddles, I think the same thing. Today, Mel Brooks would be strung up for such a movie.
One of the best comedies ever, IMHO.

Hey, where the white women at?
To: CincyRichieRich
Will assume you never saw Rock’s classic show where he goes after the home team.

Reverse the race of all the characters in the film and it would get to the theaters. It it would suck but there would be nothing taboo about it.
I love how the non-gay, Christian, male, is the only person not aloud to be offended.

The thing is Blazing Saddles was not only a satire of classic movie westerns and movie making in general but also a satire on race relations and prejudices - the black sheriff was the hero of the movie. And Mel Brooks as the Indian chief who speaks Yiddish- They darker than us! Woof! LOL!
