One thing I just found out today at work is a nice little nugget tucked in the Dodd-Frank bill. They have classified gold, tungsten, and titanium as conflict metals. All our suppliers now have to certify that none of these metals are “conflict” metals. It is a huge compliance issue for us with all the wiring and pcbas

I understand. I use copper wire day in and day out. My point was not that the regulations do not cripple business. They do.

My point was Reid said the republicans have provided no proof.

To that I say Reid is correct. They have not.

They have classified gold, tungsten, and titanium as conflict metals.

Can you translate "conflict metals" into plain American language for us please?
