I don’t know where he was going, but I don’t trust Rubio one bit myself. He’s a professional politician. As far as I can tell he’s never done an honest day’s work in his life. Top that off with the fact that he’s been known to lie for political convenience and endorse RINO positions, and it doesn’t inspire confidence.

I think the only reason more conservatives are not wary of him is because he has brown skin and they think that will magically help him nab the latino vote. Their wishful thinking is leading them to ignore their usual instincts when it comes to politicians.

Your memories are short. If nothing else, he ran Charlie Crist out of the party by running to the right of him, and by standing up to the Florida and national Republican establishment. That sent positive shock waves through the entire country, and probably inspired other races like Lee in Utah and Cruz in Texas.

I can’t say he always takes the positions I like either, but if he never accomplishes anything else, he has done much more than just talk. When he does talk, however, he is a compelling speaker for the American dream and conservative principles. This puts him miles ahead of a lot of folks in this profession.
