Finally, a silver lining in the dark cloud of last week’s election returns.
John “Liveshot” Kerry is in the running to become secretary of defense, which means he wouldn’t be a senator from Massachusetts anymore.
Please God, let it happen. How can we miss him when he won’t go away?

No doubt Kerry is a strong contender for Sec of Defense.
But given the nature of the current regime, Kerry will probably lose out getting that job, to Jane Fonda.

AFTER Kerry lost the presidential election, there was an article outlining inept and forgetful he was at everything. Obama is guaranteeing the U.S loses against any Islamic onslaught.
What a way to destroy your own military. Put in a 5th columnist in charge. Nothing makes sense anymore, this administration has to be on drugs like it’s supporters.
This is my problem also: As harmful as Kerry is in the Senate, he is in a position to do far worse to the USA as SecDef. Sure, I’d love the chance — only a chance, mind you — to get (soaking wet) Scott Brown back in there instead of liberal Democrat, but putting Kerry at the head of the military he so hates may be too high of a price.
So the man who will lead our troops will be a man who stabbed his own comrades in the back. I suppose it’s par for the course. We had a draft dodger for president. Why shouldn’t we have a traitor for Secretary of Defense?
I suppose if he doesn't, Brown could take a shot at it.
Kerry really wants SecState ..... if Rice isn’t confirmed (and Repubs are saying flat out she’s “not qualified” ... whether they hold firm on that is another story), maybe he’ll end up there. What a slap in the face to the Swift Boat Vets and vets everywhere for this piece of scum to end up in charge of our military. Add Kerry to the fact that it looks like Obama’s SecDef & others have refused to come to the aid of our brave men when in life/death situations and in fact leaving them to die ... you will see the numbers of those volunteering and re-upping slide big time.
I’d like to see his “first” discharge from the Navy.

His mental abilities of rembereing things that did not happen would be very helpful for this regime of thugs. “it is seared into my brain when we were sent into Cambodia, sent there by President Nixon” who was not yet elected President.

Notice out of uniform. Haircut not to regulation! Threw medals over fence or wall but the ribbons are still on his chest! Second Lieutenant with questionable service record to be SOD! I think West Point credentials are needed for this job!
