Frankly, I think that this sex scandal is much ado about nothing. It’s nothing that doesn’t go on every day of the week with powerful men and the adoring sycophants that follow them.

Petraeus is abit of a nerd and not particularly good looking, either. His professional success probably went to his head, and when ditzy women started acting like groupies, he couldn’t resist .

The FBI says no security breech occurred and no law was broken, but the White House still requested Petraeus’ resignation on election day. It looks to me as punishment for refusing to throw himself under the Obama re-election bus, by backing the Benghazi lie.

I think you have it right.

CJ Roberts likely gave in to blackmail because he didn’t want to end up like Petraeus. I wonder how long he can hide whatever he is hiding. Of course, he is not a political appointee who can just be fired.

While I am in full agreement, this is not a popular opinion around here. Frankly, I think the conservative cause is hopeless because of this kind of reaction. I don't even know what it means anymore - the conservative cause. Because of the internet we know lots of things we would not have known before. More information does not mean more wisdom.
