I wonder if we are in the scenario where Abraham argued with God about the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. How many righteous do we need, 10? Do we have that many? It is amazing how most people around us are unable to see the growing darkness. They think everything is continuing as it always has.

I, too, think of When Abraham pleaded with God on behalf of the righteous, but this time it seems God has chosen to allow evil to seemingly prevail a little longer. Perhaps the other side will never understand until and unless they see the consequences of their choices. But then they’ll just shamelessly continue to blame Bush or blame Republicans for not going along 100%.

Everybody should watch Dr. MacArthur’s sermon where he discussed the Democrats adopting the sins of Romans 1 as their platform. You will come away without any doubt that they have rejected God and wholly embraced sin.

In the story of Abraham and Sodom, it is worth remembering that Abraham overestimated the number of godly people in Sodom and Gomorrah. In the end, even Lot’s wife preferred the sins of S & G to following God.

I see almost no trace of godliness in large areas of America - the Northeast, or the coastal areas of California. Almost every large city has rejected any pretense of godliness.
