If you do choose to leave, please go to a true battleground state.

Yep - Republicans need to moderate their tone.

Maybe reach across the aisle once in a while and work with libs.

Only that can save the party. :)

I can save your time reading the article. The writer’s advice is for Republicans to become Democrats.

More advice from that voice of conservatism, the LA Times. Baloney. There’s always another choice. Republicans in California should keep quietly working to convince more people to be Republican. Republicans keep looking down the road and worrying. Stop it. What is the worst thing that could happen to California? What’s the most likely thing that will happen to California? The leaders of the Democrat party are grifters. Understand that and use it to your advantage. The Democrat leaders don’t want communism. They know well that they’ll be the first ones sent out to pick weeds in the onion fields. They just think they’re clever enough to squeeze some more money out of the taxpayers without destroying the state. I hate to ever recommend lawyers, but find a good tax lawyer. Make it a game to legally beat the state out of every dollar possible. Quit funding Democrats through businesses that donate to the Democrats. Have a margarita! Go to the beach! Those grifters wanted power. Let’s see how the Democrat voters like it. Life’s great as long as the federal government can borrow money. Watch out if they can’t. The first ones to suffer will be the Democrat voters who asked for it.

He’s a big time lib and that article was a tongue and cheek swipe at the GOP. He doesn’t give a rats behind for Republicans. He and the rest of the Golden State lefties are in nirvana right now. Hey Steve, can’t wait for the upcoming articles you write when you’re begging the federal government to bail out your state after Moonbeam and Friends ruin what’s left of it and they tell you to go pound sand.

Hey, Steve-O I’ve got news for you. The LA Times is going down with the ship. My advice? Take a more conservative stance and stop endorsing libs and lib props.

California is a preview of what is going to happen to the entire nation. Limbaugh, Fox News, and all the conservative talking heads played us all for fools. “The polls are wrong.” “It will be a Romney landslide.” What a bunch of bullshit. I believed them, and now I feel like an idiot for not seeing it coming. The non-white minorities and the moochers (often one and the same, but not all moochers are non-white) run this country now. They will keep electing politicians who promise them free stuff. We have passed the tipping point where the parasites now outnumber the producers, and no amount of rebranding of the Republican party is going to help us. The Democrats own the media. They own the education establishment. They own the parasite vote. This country is finished. We are going to be a socialist nanny state. They will come for our guns. They will take away talk radio. They will shut down FR and silence all opposition. Idiot Sean Hannity and his “just wait till 2016” crap makes me laugh. We’re not going to win any more elections. We only have a shot at restoring this country when it falls because the statists run out of money and there is a total collapse. We might restore the Republic out of the ruins of the big government nanny state, but forget about elections or democracy. We are finished.

The solution is to balance the new state of East California against the new state of Puerto Rico.

Each state gets it's fullshare of existing water rights WITHIN the state boundaries.

I think that gives Eastern California a powerful lever ~ and as long as they don't waste it they could even free up some space on the beach.

Notice how it is always about how the GOP “marches to the
right”? By definition we don’t march, we stay put. Let’s be
be clear. It is the liberals who are willing to drive the car down
Hwy 1 around Big Sur at 90mph, midnight, with the lights off.

The ideal GOPer as described in the article now owns a home
in California. His name is Mitt Romney. The only problem is
that newspapers like the LA Times can never be honest enough
to tell the truth about people like Romney when the choice is
between Romney and a real moonbat lib.

Here’s a plan for California conservatives: Quit the GOP, re-register as Democrats, and make common cause with the State’s conservative Dems.

There are really 3 political parties in California; The Liberal Democrat/RINO Party, the conservative Democrat Party, and the tiny remnant of the GOP. A look at the map proves this.

Democrats now have a super majority in the legislature. That means that a map of Senate and Assembly districts is mostly blue. However, maps of the returns for the propositions aren’t mostly blue; they’re mostly red. The State’s liberal/RINO heartland is concentrated along coast. The eastern part of the State, while Democrat, is far more conservative. Prop 30 won along the coast while Prop 32 won the interior.

So why jump ship? The RINOs in the State GOP hate conservatives. They loath the TEA Party more than Democrats do. They would rather lose an election than see a conservative win and they have been sabotaging conservatives in this State for years. So if we can’t make a difference in the CA-GOP, then why not try to help conservative Democrats? The maps show that they’re out there, but they aren’t a majority of their party; the LA and San Francisco machines run right over them. Conservatives who’ve been exiled from the State GOP could make up the difference.

Why not rot the Democrats’ super majority from the inside out? All it would take are a few more pro-gun, pro-life, anti-tax, free-market, conservative Dems to gum up the works in Sacramento. They exist, but they need a little help.

Think about it, GOP. You've marched so far to the right, you practically make your party's conservative icon look like a card-carrying liberal.

I wish this guy had said this at the outset, it would've saved me the time of reading his piece of crap article.

Anyone who cannot see that it isn't the GOP that has moved has his head too far up his arse.
