I ride a Harley. It’s a big powerful motorcycle. When it is moving forward under it’s own power it is a well balanced machine and a joy to ride. When it begins to slow and finally stops it becomes an unweildy beast that is hard to keep upright. And if it begins to fall over, it is so heavy that it’s impossible to stop. Excellent analogy. The crash becomes inevitable but picking it back up and keep on going is still a possibility.
