Dear Republican Congress, Give Obama and His Boys Everything They Want
Townhall.com ^ | November 11, 2012 | Doug Giles

Posted on 11/11/2012 2:03:56 AM PST by Kaslin

A cigar aficionado and amigo of mine named Irwin penned a note to the Republican Congress the night after Obama got elected for four more years of this slop, and I thought I’d pass it on to you. Check it out ...

Dear Republican Congress,

As a conservative Republican I am begging you to give president Obama and those who voted for him everything they want.

They want higher taxes on the rich and companies. Give it to them.

They want higher capital gains taxes that will hurt their investments. Give it to them.

They want a system that will make Medicare insolvent by 2024 and Social Security insolvent soon after that. Give it to them.

They want policies that will lead to constant double-digit unemployment rates for minorities and young people. Give it to them.

They want an educational system that entraps the poor in failing schools. Give it to them.

They want higher energy prices. Give it to them.

They want to spend trillions of dollars fighting global warming while China and India continue to tap oil and coal. Give it to them.

They want 20 trillion dollars plus in debt. Give it to them.

They want the Obamacare penalties to kick in next year. Give it to them.

They want a larger, more powerful Washington DC. Give it to them.

They want a more secular society that is increasingly hostile toward religion. Give it to them.

They want a more “fair” society run by bureaucrats. Give it to them.

They want socialist cronyism. Give it to them.

They want to go down the road of Europe. Give it to them.

In addition to the aforementioned, I say that we legalize weed from sea to shining sea. Wait ... not just weed but acid. Think of how creative everyone could be and how it would distort the Obama voters’ reality from the truly sucky conditions his policies have created. That’s what you call a bona fide two-fer, folks. You’re welcome.

Oh, and we mustn’t forget cocaine and heroin legalization. And bath salts! How could I forget bath salts? Bath salts help spice things up during an unemployed weekend! Calgon’s calling. Nothing like dumping drugs into a culture of entitlement. I can’t imagine that going south.

Yes, I join with my friend Irwin and say that we give it to them and find out once and for all who is right. If we are right, they will have no one to blame but themselves, and maybe we will finally get true change in this country and in the Republican party so that we have a real choice in the years to come.

If we are wrong, then so be it. I will gladly repent of my evil conservative ways and become a socialist … I mean Democrat.

If we give them amnesty, America is finished permanently.

It's already over. Conservatives don't want to believe that yet, but they will.

If you took that personal, you missunderstood

Your reply to me was about Boener and Mcconnel and you said they would not stop them (democrats)

MY reply was sarcastically directed to THEM, not you.

I didn't think I'd need the / s

Immigration should`ve been seriously handled ...

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. Or, too bad, so sad. Seriously, when are people going to realize that this was an intentional take down?

If you're in the business of selling debt, you want customers buying your product ie debt, right? Skills, wages, savings, earnings & (capital) investments are like garlic to these vampires.

To make it even better, why dick around with one-offs (ie individuals) when you can go for the whole enchilada by collectively selling debt @ the fed, state & local level in the multi-trillions?

So, you go for the two-fer: import/train people who want increased gov't programs (debt); AND import people who don't possess enough skills to effectively add any value (ie earn wages) to the economy other than mow lawns. Thus, everyone must supplement their cost-of-living via debt.

CC, the biggest obstacle this country faces is people like you who cannot bring themselves to admit the game is over. After Stalingrad in Feb '43, it was all over except the crying. The smart ones knew the score, and prepared for the end-game.

Travis has been all over this. You can delay, pray, wish & hope, but it's already baked into the cake. The sooner we get through this process, the sooner we can begin the re-building process.

"take what they want"

They won't be able to ask us, because we'll have barbed wire and walls with armed guards around the borders to our country. After five years of socialism, there'll probably be millions of residents of the SS of A trying to scale the walls or dig tunnels to get into ours.

We need to hunker down a bit and ride it out before we can start rebuilding. And the ones who are fighting it the hardest will be the first “domestic terrorists” they come for. So lay low, register Democrat, and try to survive the ride.

IMO, instead of giving them everything, try to find out why millions of repubs, sat this election out.

It wouldn't help in the long run.
The left has infiltrated our society to the point where we are going to the same point Obama is taking us anyway, the only difference is the speed of the proverbial bus.

Education is run by the left, the indoctrination starts then.
Academia is run by the left, more indoctrination.
The press is run by the left, they decide what is news and what isn't.

The only way to fix it is by letting it all blow up and starting over.
Like Chile.

There would have been no Pinochet, without Allende.

Just look at what our cities have become - every one of them a sewer with a failing public school system. Violent cesspools stripped of their once powerful industries.

Detroit is not the only one, virtually EVERY US city looks like that to some degree these days.

Would you want your daughter to walk around, say, Newark, Philadelphia, NOLA, Jackson, East St. Louis, Oakland, Compton, Baltimore, DC or a million other places at night?

She can in Singapore and nobody will bother her.
She can in Budapest, Warsaw, Berlin, Prague, Milan... even Dubai, for that matter.

I just want to know when cowards like you are going to get the hell out of my country and never look back and better yet, never infect American ears with your defeatist cowardice.

My image is worth pondering...
The images on the left show Hiroshima, the images on the right show Detroit.
The top left image shows Hiroshima right after it was nuked, the bottom left shows it today.
The top right image shows Detroit in 1945 (bustling and growing), the bottom right shows it today (1/3 of its former population and utterly destroyed.

More destruction is wrought by giving Democrats and Unions a bustling city than by nuking it. For when you nuke a city, like Hiroshima, it is a sudden shock, people realize what happened, and the city is quickly rebuilt - better than ever.

Detroit was turned over to Democrats and Unions, and so it took years for the city to crumble to what it is today - no shock, and no rebuilding. In fact, the destruction is so bad that the cancer is still alive and well in Detroit and it cannot be fixed without some kind of shock.

This is almost like the 'boiling a frog' analogy... the far better way to destroy a city is the way that it was done in Detroit. Nobody is rebuilding anything and nobody ever will.

Only one problem with this. the media will blame the republicans and the people will believe it.

Well: Look at it this way.

They are going to take pretty much what they want anyway.

I think this is what the author was hinting at. After this latest loss, I don't think our side can or will stop the 'Rats. So I guess the idea is to let the crash happen sooner rather than later and try to pick up the pieces.

If we try to stop them we're going to be blamed for any failure because we were "obstructionist". That already happened in Obangi's first term. His policies failed. The media, the 'Rats, and the electorate blamed us because we were obstructionist, we didn't give Odumbo enough of what he wanted. Now if we give him what he wants, it will still fail, and I'm sure the media and the public will find a way to blame us.

Being in a no-win situation can be strangely liberating. We're going to catch hell anyway, so just do what you think is best and let the SHTF.

“Sort of like making your 12-year old smoke a whole pack of cigarettes the first time you catch him smoking.”

Well, yeah, except that your kid will get the message.

DemocRats won’t, they’d see it as a green light.

We used to count pennies. Now we count plastic cards. When you can’t see real money dwindling away, it just isn’t real at all. We have no guage. We might be running on empty, but we still think the fumes will get us there. It’s the world that has been created for us by those for whom reality does not exist.

I am not sure i agree, they have been getting just what they want including queer marriage, this happened in the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, there were so few people who had not turned animal that they were able to leave so that God could destroy these cities.

It will most likely not happen that way today, but it don,t have to be such a long death if we just let them alone.

But you can bet how ever long it takes will be too long.

But wait: i forget, God is giving us just as long as he can because he is unwilling not to give us a chance to repent and come to him, in general people are not apt to come to him when every thing is hunky dory because they are too busy having fun to even think of him.

It is plain that there are many people on this planet who do not belong to God, it is also plain there are many people who do belong to God who do not yet realize it.

There are also people who go through all of the rituals making people think they belong to God who do not know him but only know religion, we need time to sort out religion from the truth of the Gospel.

So maybe i do agree with you in that perspective.

"I am not sure If I agree with this"

I think there's something to it -- the Democrats went along with every profligate spending increase the GOP House fostered '00-'06, and they didn't pay a single penny for it in election capital UNTIL they had control and passed Frankencare.

Which btw, I'd be pizzed if I was Pelosi -- she got the jackpot on Bobo's malfeasance. Shortest Speaker's term in history. Schadenfreude!

My favorite Uncle did something similar to me. He gave me his cigarette and told me to try it. I took a little puff and he said: “No! Inhale like this.” He then took a deep drag and exhaled out of his nose. I tried it and nearly died. I still remember the feeling of betrayal of him encouraging me to do that. But he then launched into a lesson of the evils of smoking and how hard it was for him to stop, etc.

I am 72 years old and never smoked again. It’s time for these children to be given a dose of what they want.

The only problem here is that they will blame all failures on the Repub House. It will still not be their fault.
