Time will tell whether you are right or I am right. Boehner will demand all Republicans get in line and “compromise” with the Rats and we will get nothing in return.
If Boehner was any kind of leader then he would tell Obama and Reid that since they made all the promises then they can figure out a way to pay for it without any assistance from the GOP. Obama only wants to negotiate something he already has, tax hikes when the Bush Tax Cuts expire, in order to blame the GOP and Boehner is willing to go with it.
I don't believe the RINOs worry about being primaried because the GOP establishment will put all the money to back them first.

There aren’t enough conservatives to run roughshod over the rest of the R caucus though (yet).
So I don’t expect any really big victories for us.
Yeah, as you say, we’ll see.

The fear of being primaried is very real in RINOs in conservative, and even ‘moderate’ districts. The Party doesn’t help them in primaries and if they tap their contributors heavily in the primary they risk not having funds to beat off the Dems- who will attack even harder. So it’s best to compromise with conservatives (and raise more money).

This NYTimes article is just scripting for the Sunday news shows to bash the increased House conservative bloc as childish obstructionists, instead of representatives of the will of the people. I hate our stupid media.
