ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) -- President Barack Obama was declared the winner of Florida's 29 electoral votes Saturday, ending a four-day count with a razor-thin margin that narrowly avoided an automatic recount that would have brought back memories of 2000.
No matter the outcome, Obama had already clinched re-election and now has 332 electoral votes to Romney's 206.
The Florida Secretary of State's Office said that with almost 100 percent of the vote counted, Obama led Republican challenger Mitt Romney 50 percent to 49.1 percent, a difference of about 74,000 votes. That was over the half-percent margin where a computer recount would have been automatically ordered unless Romney had waived it.
There is a Nov. 16 deadline for overseas and military ballots, but under Florida law, recounts are based on Saturday's results. Only a handful of overseas and military ballots are believed to remain outstanding.
It's normal for election supervisors in Florida and other states to spend days after any election counting absentee, provisional, military and overseas ballots. Usually, though, the election has already been called on election night or soon after because the winner's margin is beyond reach.

After looking at all the facts and fraud and wondering why the Republicans do nothing, I do wonder if this is not a “rope a dope” strategy. If Romney got in, would he be able to fix things? Perhaps a little, but we would go back to partisan bickering and party line votes and be back in the same place, just a few more years out.
There are some animals that if given enough food will eat themselves to death. We all know socialism/communism fails, we all know Keynesian economics fails as well. So now they own this, we should give them everything they want, all the rope they need. The sooner the system collapses, the sooner we can rebuild with proper capitalistic principles, without the encumbrances by the left idiocy. This will be painful, but that seems to be the only way to educate the masses.
Count is complete and Murphy up .7 FL law is .5 so West will have to pay with little hope of winning. Bottom line he got beat.

I’m not discounting very very small instances of fraud or miscounting but to say there was a broad and sophisticated plan to rig the election in Florida doesn’t pass the smell test. During the week before the election, 8 different polling outfits called the election tied or 1 to 2 points for Obama so I can’t see how they all could have coordinated that without someone blowing the whistle.
I’m going with Occam’s Razor on this one: the simplest explanation tends to be the right one. In this case, the Obama campaign’s GOTV operation was superior in Florida.

What did the third-party vote amount to? And how many “principled” conservatives stayed home because they couldn’t vote for the lesser of two evils?

Florida may be a permanent Demonrat state. Romney supposedly lost the Cuban vote.

Someone from the Panhandle in the legislature needs to raise hell and demand that the part of Florida that is “ Cuba North” clean up their voting procedures!

Democrat stronghold Palm Beach County was allowed two extra days of voting. The PBC Super of Elections Bucher opened polling on Sunday and Monday Nov 4 & 5. The Democrats where notified of the Sunday opening, the Repubs found out later. Surprise surprise Bucher is Democrat
FL SOS Detzner (R) allowed Bucher to get away with this. Why was the vote suppressed elsewhere but allowed in Palm Beach? Why is one team given opportunities to score while the other team is not?

Just prior to the election Romney had back to back rallies in Ohio and Pennsylvania where 30,000 people showed up, far more people than Obama could draw even with big name entertainment. Yet he wins those states?
The Dem convention had to be moved to a smaller venue and they could barely fill that half way.

I think Bucher and Detzner need to be relieved and prosecuted.
A fair election is when everyone has an equal opportunity to vote, no advantage to either party.
There was not a fair election in Florida, the SOS suppressed votes. I think he has been derelict. He has failed to evenly enforce rules.
Bucher is devious. In her own words she "found a way around" state rules. She's proud of it. She belongs in jail. She knew she was breaking the rules and did care.
These two have corrupted the election process in Florida.
