Do you also consider it welfare for a retired & 80% disabled vet who collects his retirement and disability a form of welfare? He can’t work anymore, he is drawing off the tax payer. He is retired at 46. Is that welfare??

I’m a retired vet rated 30% disabled. The VA takes 30% of my gross retirement pay which is given back untaxed.

I don’t see how this is being given “welfare” since all I’m getting is my retirement pay.

My father faced the same nonsense until his disability exceeded 50%, that's apparently the threshold at which they quit reducing your disability payment from your income.
