I asked a black pal once why Democrats were favored so in that crowd. I was told that they resented that the GOP had allowed some racist Dixiecrats to become Republicans before they had disavowed their racism. Really... that’s it. Everything from Abraham Lincoln to the abolition of Jim Crow... forgotten.
Now we are to be criticized because we were born the wrong race. Shouldn’t I be judged on the quality of my character, rather than the color of my skin?
