Nothing backdoor about it. It was smeared all over FR for months, during the primary season. Same operatives probably were sending DNC e-mails and making push-poll phone calls.

Sorry, by back-door, I meant a concerted effort by the Obama campaign to stir up anti-Mormon sentiment (not that some on FR need to be stirred-up), but that the sources were not tied to the campaign. Many who echoed the call to stay home didn’t realize that the idea came from Obama and the Demoncrats. Some may have even done it without the campaign - but not in the large numbers that probably stayed home.
