Mitt Romney had planned to celebrate his election as the nations 45th president with an eight-minute fireworks display over Boston Harbor.
The same company that does some of the illuminations for Bostons Fourth of July celebration was poised to ignite fireworks within view of Romneys party at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center to celebrate a win over President Obama.
A permit filed with the City of Boston said the detonation could occur any time between 7 p.m. Tuesday, just after the first polls closed, and 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, which ended up being just before Romney conceded the race.

F Obama
Shows you just how badly the GOP was reading this election.
I love Scotch
Could the election have been stolen?
I don’t know, but here’s a link:

Oopsie!....Romney forgot to include 7,000,000 white conservative voters
It could have been and it was.
Everyone thought he would win. Higher enthusiasm on R, lower enthus on D, terrible TERRIBLE economy, etc.
The only ones who “knew” 0blunder would win were the Dems who knew something.
I think they cheated.
From the article:
Romney had tapped former Utah Governor Mike Leavitt to lead his transition planning, and screen shots of a transition website were captured Wednesday by Political Wires Taegan Goddard.
Smaller, Simpler, Smarter, was the motto, and a quote from President-elect Romney read: Im excited about our prospects as a nation. My priority is putting people back to work.
I’m beginning to think so too. All you hard about was their great GOTV effort. Have to wonder if that was to account for the vote fraud they knew was in the works.
Honestly, I don’t think we will ever have another GOP President.
But the Evangelicals just couldn't bring themselves to vote for a mormon. That, and after Akin's funding was cut off by the GOP, they took their ball and went home.
Blame them. If you voted for Obama, you are part of the f##king problem. And if you DIDN'T vote for Romney, if this country just wasn't important enough to you to save from a sneering, newly "flexible" marxist, then you are also part of the f##king problem.
.
Now, it just breaks my heart when I think about that video of Mitt arriving at that airport unannounced and being met by thousands in that parking garage where he placed his hand over his heart and said, ‘This is how you know you’re going to win’.
I am just so heartsick about this. Mitt and all of us worked so hard for the election.

::::sad sigh::::
Oopsie!....Romney forgot to include 7,000,000 white conservative voters
Exactly correct. He should have planned and worked more on getting the conservative base to the polls, and less on his acceptance speech and fireworks.
Thanks Kristie Kreme.
Mitt should have hired jackmercer, our own Freeper, who called this election here last week instead of listening to idiots like Rove & Barone.
I hope he has people (lawyers) looking into this.
Washington’s Farewell Address 1796
Excerpt:
Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports.
In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens. The mere politician, equally with the pious man, ought to respect and to cherish them. A volume could not trace all their connections with private and public felicity.
Let it simply be asked: Where is the security for property, for reputation, for life, if the sense of religious obligation deserts the oaths which are the instruments of investigation in courts of justice?
And let us with caution indulge the supposition that morality can be maintained without religion.
Whatever may be conceded to the influence of refined education on minds of peculiar structure, reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle.
