Everybody take a deep breath and relax. Obama couldn't get most of this crap through a democrat congress. He's not going to get it through a republican congress. And regardless of what Boehner says about cooperation (which is just for the press in my opinion), don't think for a moment that the Republican majority in the house didn't see what happened to Republican Politicians like Lugar that went along with democrats. They tend to like their jobs and don't want to be “primaried” in 2014. As for Obama trying backdoor regulations, he's free to try. But so far he's been shot down by the courts when he's tried....

I tend to agree. Obama is throwing a whole lot of cr*p at the wall, and most of it does not stick. But he can go a lot of damage, and has.
It won't be easy. But we have to be eternally vigilant.

The 2009 Carbon Tax Bill is a House passed piece of legislation. It was passed in 2009.
Correcting my comment above, what would happen is Reid would put it up for a vote in the Senate, where it would pass. This is why he’s going to restrict the use of the filibuster. Once passed it would be signed by Obama.
Scary stuff. How many bills failed in the 2007 to 2011 Dem controlled House that could be ressurected and passed in this manner???
