other than to uphold men and women who live morally and uphold moral principles

That's your interpretation of God's Word?

I have nothing but contempt for all those who contributed directly or indirectly to the reelection of the worst president this country has every seen.

The church is to take care of the poor NOT the gov’t! And that doesn’t include barry’s ‘G*d damn America’ hate whitey training school for blacks they call a church.

I see scriptural mandates to individuals, churches and government and rulers

And your belief is the government is Christian and they listen to God. Amazing.

Mitt Happens is a genuinely nice guy, but nice doesn’t win elections and he didn’t excite me.

Honestly, even tho you said you would not vote for him on Saturday, Monday until the election results came in, your posts seemed to indicate that Mitt sure seemed to excite you. Easy to back a winner....Wow how easy it is to change your tune right after the loss. Go back and read your posts....

Maybe next election instead of sitting it out, you can write in yourself rather than smugly sitting out elections.

Way to go. So how’s your stock portfolio doing today? Nationalized Healthcare...your posts seem to indicate a detached realism...Are you off shore or something? Oh and be sure to enjoy the new pics for AG, SOS, and Supremes.

I understand.

Yes, I had major problems with Romney and said “it’s over” when he got the nomination - he was the last one I wanted to win the primary....equally with the other Mormon, Jon Huntsman.

I guess the perspective that they are equally evil is where we see it differently. I see several degrees of difference.

It was a horrible election for me and my family and all America, worse than any act of nature or war so far in the history of our country.

You say you did what you had to do but you have been critical of all who don’t agree with you and have denigrated them and the candidates they support. You have denigrated me while defending your inactivity in this election and you still want to blame others for what happened. I have really attempted to refrain from personal attacks throughout this entire election. You say you make personal attacks against others and refrained from the election because you are a Christian, I don’t recall attacking anyone for their Christianity however I am and have been critical of those who abeted the re-election of obama for whatever reason and I resent those who criticize me for working and voting to stop obama and to actively work to change the Republican party. You refer to me as a “battered wife” what does that make you, someone who ceded the battlefield to the enemy.

I don’t believe that I have ever voted for anyone who at least didn’t disappoint me at one time or another. There are those I,ve voted agaist and that disappointed me and they have disappointed me every time the have spoke or voted. There are those I’ve cvoted for who have lost and they have only disappointed me once. I’m sure that if you were to run for office yourself and get elected byou would be disappointed in yourself for some of the votes you would have to cast or decisions you would have to make. I don’t believe I’ve ever had the luxery of voting for the IDEAL candidate.

Yes, many times I’ve been disappointed by officials I voted for. Never have I felt dread and disappointment BEFORE they were even elected.

Well I see scripture differently than you. There are several commands to kings regarding the poor. There are commands to individuals, commands to the church and commands to the rulers. And there's room enough for all to perform their duties. The following is a direct command to a king to show mercy to the poor.

Dan 4:27 Wherefore, O king, let my counsel be acceptable unto thee, and break off thy sins by righteousness, and thine iniquities by shewing mercy to the poor; if it may be a lengthening of thy tranquillity.

Pro 20:28 Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upholden by mercy.

If "We the people" want to rule, we better discharge our duties of government including showing mercy to the poor.

Besides in this case the unemployment crisis is a direct result of government policies, especiallly the lowering of import tariffs which exported jobs overseas. If "We the people", in our rule, caused this crisis, then "We the people", in our rule, ought to help eliminate some of their misery while we fix it.

"And your belief is the government is Christian and they listen to God. Amazing."

"We the people" are the government. We elect representatives. If enough of us tell them to be merciless towards the poor, they will. If enough of us tell them to be merciful towards the poor, they will do that too.

It's not a perfect process, and it's not a perfect representation. And we are not a perfect people. We are however, mostly a Christian nation at varying levels of maturity.

I don't really think the scriptures linking the length and tranquility of a ruler's reign to how they treat the poor, are necessarily dependent on the ruler being Christian. I think that's a general principle that all things being equal, the merciful ruler will have his rule extended and the non-merciful one will be cut short.

But there are many other factors that affect one's rule, including the wickedness or righteousness of the people.

While we ARE 'WeThePeople', when have we seen that taken into any situation? Did it have any effect on obamacare. They were hell bent to go against what the people wanted. They hate freedom but embrace control/communism. And our freedoms come from God and they/evil says we will change that! Evil always goes against God's Word. But them going against it doesn't make it not true. God gives, evil takes.

They don't even follow the Constitution so much less His Word - only when looking for some credibility and then they misinterpret it and use it only for their benefit TO DECEIVE. "Our side' - who has the voice and power - does nothing much about them not following the Law of the Land. That's far from being perfect - it's dereliction of duty, IMO. Being unfaithful to those who supported them. They too, deceive.

Never rely on the gov't. God is our Source for everything. God's Grace is what you need, not the gov't handouts. God gives it freely, the gov't controls or ignores what you need. God is no respecter of persons but the gov't sure is!

Merciful to the gov't is setting up a beer submit. The gov't isn't God's church. It is of 'the world' and while we are 'in the world' we not 'of it'. We don't think like them, talk like them and aren't them. Surely, you know we are different because we are told we are. We have been separated out, so don't be inclined to go their way for JESUS is the ONLY Way to the Father. This is a test for ourselves to really see how much we DO believe HIM and know HE is our Source like He says He is.

If you want to believe the governments lies, that is your choice but expect disappointment. More so now, when satan is unleashing a firestorm through his minions. Now you see how voters were deceived, as they too, will be part of that firestorm and their belief will still be in a gov't that doesn't give a flip about them except for votes to carry out their evilness. Some may wake up, it depends on their popping point, and turn to The Lord, others won't.

the merciful ruler will have his rule extended and the non-merciful one will be cut short.

Now how did that work out? This election will bring more people to The Lord and others closer to The Lord. And isn't that God's will? Don't look for temporary fixes when eternity hangs in the balance. No one is pleasing to God without faith. In the natural I am hugely disappointed but in the spirit I know God provides always and never leaves nor sake us and proclaim His Will be done. He is my provider and by faith (and experience), I KNOW I/family will be OK. In the natural, it doesn't look that way but 'more blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe'.

If you are hanging onto anything coming from the gov't now, the next four years will be miserable for you. Wake up now and get over and walk in faith because it is not going to get any better but will move stronger and quicker in the wrong direction. "...where sin abounded, grace abounded much more".

BEFORE they were even elected.

Every election after Reagan I felt it before. Not so much with Bush though, except his stance on immigration but I wanted Clinton/Gore out so bad, it was a comfort to vote for him.

You are half right.

I only denigrated the lying, left-wing, progressive candidate, Mitt Romney.

I have abstained from attacking those who have voted for him, knowing that most of them reacted out of fear of Obama, and not because they agreed with Romney's lack of conservative credentials.

So you must consider me a lying, left wing, progressive. You have denigrated me.

I believe you will still be smug and proud when obama makes his Supreme Court appointments, you will probably convince yourself that Romney’s picks would be no better.

Don’t try to convince me of your purity or good intentions, you didn’t get to be the starter in the big game so you quit the team and now you want it to be someone else’s fault.
