LAS VEGAS (CBS Las Vegas) A Las Vegas business owner with 114 employees fired 22 workers today, apparently as a direct result of President Obamas re-election.
David (he asked to remain anonymous for obvious reasons) told Host Kevin Wall on 100.5 KXNT that elections have consequences and that at the end of the day, I need to survive.

My son graduated from medical school in 2010 and just quit his medicine residency. He is reassessing his career choice.

These layoff stories should be front and center...Rush should spend all three hours beating this like a dead horse. Wither The Blaze? This should be the LEAD story...instead we get pap like Mitt’s Next Morning and a story about a little girl that plays football...WTF, Beck?
Boeing was laying off a few here and there last summer before they made the promise to hold off all further layoffs until after the election. They announced internally two weeks ago a major restructuring of several divisions. I suspect the final layoffs are imminent and they will be massive. The internal numbers are between 20-30%, mainly in non aircraft production employees including professional staff.
Mine too, a month ago. He saw the writing on the wall. This is starting to devastate this great country but the freeloaders and ignorants in Washington will always have their top shelf health care.

This type of massive layoff and facility shifting is no accident. This is part of the larger plan by this administration, democrats, and socialists and has been in the works for years and years. One little step at a time to knock us down a few notches.
You left out you will have to hire transgendered and homosexuals or be taxed as not “diverse” enough.

I am doing the same. I watch them get fat paychecks from city, municipal, and government jobs and retirement on MY DIME, and they tell ME I am a racist bigot.>>>>>

I put in 22 years in the USMC, working at coolie wages, etc. for a pension that is not even close to the outside, followed by working for the US Army developing and testing weapons and explosives for pay less than the contractors. I paid my dues in blood, sweat, and tears for what I receive.
Sort of, the new way that they are determining if you have 50+ employees is by looking at your last 12 months. If at anytime during that last 12 months, they can count up enough part-time/casual workers to make the count 50+, you will be required to deal with Obamacare.
So if you are a florest shop, for example, and during your peak times, you end up hiring some part-time seasonal help, but for the rest of the time you have 40 employes, and your seasonal help kicks it over into 51 employes, you are doomed.
Any company that uses contingent workers should be taking a real close look at their payroll and how the government defines wether or not they have 50+ employees.
I put the blame for Obamacare with Obama.
Maybe keep the extra one around for awhile just for fun. Kinda like the last goldfish in the pirahna tank. Every so often just stand and watch them work while jotting things down in a notebook with his/her name written on the cover. Make a point to look at the clock meaningfully every time they clock in or out, go to lunch, on break, etc.
And then fire them.
Maybe then they’ll understand the anxiety we’ve been feeling for the last four years.
