It is time to start thinking logically and not emotionally. I fear we lose elections because people refuse to think logically.

“It is time to start thinking logically and not emotionally. I fear we lose elections because people refuse to think logically.”

Absolutely correct. We need to revolt against the Republican Party. “Conservative” should mean “conserve the constitution.” We need to reshape the platform to focus on reigning in the federal government to its constitutional powers. Magic Fingers has a good point about eliminating some of the anti-depravity issues from the platform. I am a born-again Christian, but I will happily vote for any candidate that will defend the Constitution against all foreign and domestic enemies. The Democrats toss out these wedge issues on abortion, homosexuality, etc., to drive people away from Republicans. Be real - How much power does the President have to determine whether an anti-abortion bill has an exception for rape or incest? If the legislators legislated and the judges adjudicated and the president administrated based upon the Enumerated Powers, our federal tax burden would drop below our state taxes

We need to focus on fixing the GOP. After re-electing Obama, can't the majority of Republicans be convinced that being Democrat-lite and playing on their playground do not work. While the Democrats can't be honest about what they stand for and where they want to take the country, we can be because our position is morally and constitutionally sound. Unfortunately, it is difficult to explain why Robinhood was wrong, but it is about time we forced the GOP to try to articulate why it is immoral and unconstitutional for the federal government to be Robinhood.
