I’ve now changed my tune on this. You want to let the “Bush” tax cuts expire. Fine. But have them expire for EVERYONE. We need a nice big Middle Class tax hike to wake America up. When its only taxes on the wealthy, everyone else votes themselves benes on the backs of the productive. And while we’re at it, we need a nice big tax hike on the low income types who pay ZERO taxes or get money back via credits. Its time every lazy bum paid their “fair share” too.

Won’t happen. The two choices are that the Bush cuts expire and the brackets revert along with the auto spending cuts (”fiscal cliff”) or Obama and Boner cut a deal and we all lose. The best choice is option one, send the government off the cliff. Get the automatic defense cuts and all the others. Put a cinder block on the gas pedal. Hundreds of thousands of defense and govt workers will be laid off and Northern Virginia (and all its Obama voters) will crash and burn along with Maryland. That will wake a few people up and the Senate Democrats will beg for a deal.
