Even before a winner was declared in the presidential contest, Sarah Palin sounded a pessimistic note on Tuesday night, saying that a second term for President Barack Obama will mean a catastrophic blow to the economy.
Unfortunately, we know what we will get with four more years of President Obama, the former GOP vice presidential nominee told Fox Newss Greta Van Susteren. This really is a catastrophic set-back to our economy and to any opportunity that we would have for Supreme Court justices to be appointed who would be strict adherents to the traditional interpretation of what our Constitution says.
Palin added that she hoped things can turn around before the end of the night.
Im crossing my fingers, Greta, and hoping things can turn around in the remaining hours of the evening, she said, striking a resigned tone.
Later in the interview, Palin ran through a litany of problems that, she suggested, are associated with Obama and expressed disbelief that voters would go down that path.
I just cannot believe, though, that the majority of Americans would believe that incurring more debt is good for our economy, for our childrens futures, for job creators, she said. I cannot believe that the majority of Americans would believe its OK not to follow the Constitution and not have a budget. And I cant believe the majority of Americans say its OK to rely on foreign sources of energy instead of drilling and mining our own resources.
Its a perplexing time for many of us right now, if things continue in this trend that we have seen earlier tonight, she added.

I’ve got to say I’m more than a little annoyed at SP right at the moment. I believe she very easily could’ve broken through the media noise and become a rallying point, and preventing the very thing she is now decrying.
ahhh it’s just a title, you know.
I know God has a plan, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. I’m just trying to brainstorm on how my family can protect ourselves over the next four years.
Right now I just feel like crying. The “takers” are now a majority and I just have to wonder if this country will ever turn around. I just wish I could see a silver lining in all this, I just can’t.
Let’s hope she continues to be the voice of the resistance for the next four years.
I like Sarah, but I disagree that her voice would have made a difference. She cannot reach the people who need to be reached. Her name is worse than Dubya’s for making half of the country start foaming at the mouth.
I’m thinking the same way. I’m trying to prepare for what I believe will be an economic collapse.
...then I remember that for those on the public dole, these are all “somebody else’s” problems.

Yep and they got their Obama Phones!
SP is radioactive, and will remain so for the rest of her days.
She’s a pundit with a cute arse. Nothing more.
I feel the worst for my kids, aged 18 and 15. I’m feeling pretty sick this morning.
I haven’t lost faith in this country, or in God.
I prayed frequently every day for the Dems to lose. But, remember “God works in wondrous ways.”
Naturally, I don’t know what God has planned, but don’t give up hope.
I agree, even the mention of her daughters name on a silly dancing show is enough to make them go wonkers.
Yet another brand that has successfully been demonized by the left. That and the GOP brand as a whole.
My theory is that she acquiesced to the requests/demands of the GOP to distance herself from the race, because of the perception (true or false) of her as "damaged goods".
I'd like to at least see her getting back to the "shadow president" role she played in 2009 and 2010, penning articles attacking Obama's policies and laying out alternatives, and doing so in layman's terms. Regardless of whether or not she intends to run herself, this type of work is invaluable.
She kinda made me sick last night, smiling while she said this, as though her “happy pundit demeanor” were more important than how depressed every one of her fans was feeling. We were in the depths of despair and though she said she was praying for a turnaround she was chipper and smiling, probably required by her well paying boss Fox, which just reminded me that she took The Money and not what was behind door number 2. Grrrr.
Sarah's just a private citizen now, one who happens to be on the FOX payroll but a private citizen nonetheless - thanks to the likes of Nicolle Wallace and other backstabbers in the Republican establishment.
Here's the best I can do for you: When the debt-laden economy finally crashes in the next four years, Obama will get the blame for it, not the GOP.
THE MSM won't blame Obama, of course, but the average person on the street will, much like the average person blamed Herbert Hoover.
Wonder what Israel is thinking this morning?
I’m just angry.
I’m angry with the GOP and the leadership.
I’m angry with John Roberts.
I’m angry with the media, including FOX.
I’m so depressed.
