I was very interested by the study found here:
http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=1901654
according to this paper, in their sampling of about a million male voters and using the 2008 election, Total registered versus total citizens voting: 86.2% of White men were registered to vote; of that only some 60% actually voted. 75% of Black men were registered to vote, but only about 45% voted. And 67% of Hispanic men were registered but only about 40% voted.
Now even deducting a few percentage points for the elderly or infirm voter, or those ‘on the fringe’, we’re still left with a significant percentage of registered, non-felon, male citizen voters that simply don’t vote.
What can we do as a party to woe these guys over?
What, do we have to send you to re-education camp or something? It looks like they’re already at the top of the male voting bell curve. What you’re asking would be like asking how we could improve Asian males’ math SAT scores. Instead your focus should be on ‘no voter left behind’ and ‘vote to the top’ initiatives. Jeesh! ;-)
