I'm not suicidal, just disappointed. I live in the Buckle of the Bible Belt, and Evangelicals voted by the millons for Romney. I would have felt the same about a Catholic candidate. I don't agree with their theology, but.......

Eisenhower, didn't become a born again Christian until after he was elected.

Of course. But the Evangelical vote was split all the same. If 10% stay home it doesn't show in the 'buckle of the Bible Belt'. it looks the same. But it shows up big-time where Christians do not hold primacy... where other issues intrude. Splitting the Christians will ALWAYS cause a loss.

I am one who didn't vote for Romney. I could not overlook his record wrt abortion and homosexual marriage... not to mention a million other liberal positions and his direct opposition to Reagan and Conservatives. I am against Mormonism, but had he been true to what Mormons are out here in the west, I probably would have voted for him.
