This is a fact about the state of our population that has depressed me for most of the last 4 years. Even if Mitt had won today this fact would still be true becase so much of the population is lible to embrase the concept of stealing from their brother to give themselfs unearned lucutury.
The truth is this attidue among a population is the tyrannical trade mark of the decline & self-destruction of a democracy.
Your right of course that such a policy cannot go on forever, but you must recognize that this behavioral will only end when there is no more money to take. That means there will be no truly free or productive people left in our land to rob from.
Furthermore that which remains of the population will by default be an increasingly desperate mob ultimately willing(in their mind perhaps forced) to surrender what little liberty they have left to anther carrasmatic tyrant promising to fix it all and “make the trains run on time” again.
We of course know where that ends. The same place the republic of Germany and the republic of Rome famously ended.
Such will inevitably be our fate of this democracy in time.
The only caveat is will we all be there to at the end, or will the still noble parts of us throw off the shackles of the now unconstitutionally lawless union ruled by an increasingly corrupt mob to start a new republic founded once more in liberty & Constitutionally finite government?
I say this is Civil War 2 but that is our only real long term option. Not to fight a 2nd civil war but to break the unlawful bonds that content us to this corruption, to flee from Sodom as it burns itself to the ground.
