“I agree. As an old white guy, I could not imagine how anyone who lived thru the last 4 years would want more of the same. I could not imagine how anyone on the liberal side could be afraid of the most liberal republican who ever ran for President. “
Perhaps many conservatives were afraid of Romney’s liberalism and chose not to vote. Or that he was a Mormon. Many conservatives believe in only voting their conscience for someone and not just as a tactical move to take out the other guy.
I concur with both the quoted statement and yours.
We are a shambles.
To think, farmers in 1776 understood core government values and politics do than most people today- unreal.
Talk about regression.
This is like literally living through late 3rd century Rome.
“Perhaps many conservatives were afraid of Romneys liberalism and chose not to vote.”
That doesn’t explain the Democrat turnout. I don’t understand how we could win the independents and STILL lose.
My liberal acquaintances on Twitter all think that Romney is some sort of super-ultra-arch-conservative instead of the most liberal Republican who ever ran for President. What they don’t realize is that they’re the ones off-scale left and Romney’s fairly centrist, instead of the other way around. They’re mostly young, and fully bought into the lies on Obamacare and the like, and there’s no way to bring them around.
I can’t even debate with them. It’s like I’m speaking English and they’re speaking German, we just talk past each other because I can’t comprehend where they’re coming from at all, nor can they comprehend me.

Harumfh! I certainly hope their conscience was worth it.
People I will not associate with? Known liberals and those who selfishly vote “conscience” before country.
