See my post 34 in this thread. Prince William County, one of the outer suburban DC counties, apparently doesn’t have enough voting machines and people have waited 4 hours in line to vote and are still there (polls closed at 7:00 ET). Now I know Prince William County has grown like mad because it’s in the DC suburbs, but how do you screw up so badly you don’t have enough voting machines and have to leave the polls open until midnight?

(BTW, PW used to be dependably Republican but has been overrun with immigrants and government workers.)

Prince William is only two suburbs away from DC, strictly bedroom, lots of hispanic. My suburb is 4 suburbs away. My precinct had five voting machines, up from the usual 3, and no lines. But another precinct had long lines from what I heard.
