You know what? If this is God’s will than the heck with Him.

It’s like a child with terminal cancer is “His will” too.

Yeah I get it He has this great secret plan that no matter how sucky things are here we are supposed to believe in.

Well whatever since I can’t see it and I have to suffer for it than big whoop.

Think, pal.

If there isn’t any eternity, any heaven and hell that makes this world an itty bitty place by comparison, then such objections would make sense.

God is saying the most important part of life is vastly larger than earthly life.

Are you outraged at what you see? GOOD! Think about why you have a right to be outraged. If there were not something else that testified to your soul that what you are witnessing were wrong and bad, how could outrage even be possible? You could no more be outraged than a wad of cotton could be outraged.

Really? To "heck" with God because you don't like how this election turned out? What I think is a whole lot scarier than God having an overall plan for the ages is the idea that there is no God or that He doesn't care what happens to us if he does exist. You've got chaos if that's the case and NOTHING has meaning or purpose. I'm sure the disciples of Jesus were pretty certain it had all gone to heck and they were fools for following him for three years - but you know what? it WAS all part of God's plan and through Christ we are redeemed. Through his death and resurrection, we have a real reason for hope.

God IS in control and, though I don't know what His plan for America is, I trust Him to do what is right. He didn't MAKE people vote for Obama, but it is still part of His plan nonetheless. Nothing takes Him by surprise. If we are His, we need fear nothing that man can do to us.

Will not the Judge of all the earth do right? (Genesis 18:25)
