Got to our township building at 0630, and by the time the doors opened at 7 there were already ~25 in line, with more cars pulling in every minute or two.
Great chatter with the couple and a few others who got there shortly after me, with the concensus being we were all more eager to cast today's votes than any time since Reagan !
When the election official for my name, I took my time getting the wallet out, while stating in a clear full voice that "I'm (tomkat) and I'm proud to show my eligibility to vote for President Romney".
It's gonna be a long day's wait, but by tonight we'll have served a tsunami-sized eviction notice on the most hideous presidential mistake this country's ever made !
It's 5 am pacific standard time in California. I am waiting for the polls to open. I couldn't sleep. When they do open up in two hours I'll be there.
Later in the morning FedEx will deliver our daughter's mail-in ballot, for some reason the county did not send it out on time to be returned by mail. So I'll be making sure her vote is delivered in time to be counted. This is a historic election, and it's also her first time voting.
Nothing will keep us from casting our vote.
