One thing’s for sure: what little credibility Dick Morris had is shot. He’s completely washed up.
You know, I’ve been thinking about why Pennsylvania votes the way it does, and honestly, I think it has to do with familiarity more than anything. Voters here don’t seem to care what a candidate’s positions are as long as they know them.
Why did Tom Corbett win in 2010? Because he was so well-known throughout the state. Why will Bob Casey win? He comes from a famous family. Remember Jack Murtha? Same deal. Mark Critz, his former aide, is going to beat Keith Rothfus in my district, largely because people simply happen to know him.
It’s a childish worldview, but it is what it is. Logic left the gates here a long time ago.
And so is Barone and Will and everyone else who predicted a blow out...right?
