Yup. I'm originally from the South (south Louisiana), but now stuck in western Washington state (across the Sound from Tacoma).
The closest small town to me has been fighting tooth and nail to keep "evil Wal-Mart" out of the local market......and yet they welcomed Costco with eager enthusiasm.
The only difference between the two companies is that one is considered "conservative" and the other "liberal".
