I don’t remember the union thugs in New Orleans running off the non-union utility workers from out of state either.

Don’t worry, though, this is the same government who will be running Obamacare.

(See tagline)

Hey, I’m sure the president’s photo op will more than make up for not having any water.

Gee, with the brilliant and sympathetic Barack Hussein in charge, you wouldn’t think this sort of thing could happen!

What about one tanker full of potable water and another with about 10,000 one gallon plastic bottles to hand out to the people, who could then fill them from fawcets attached to the tanker??

I recall that after the Haiti earthquake, the Navy stationed an aircraft carrier offshore. In addition to health and food service, the carrier supplied thousands of gallons of fresh water from its desalinization plant onboard (I think they did the same thing after the tsunami in Indonesia).

Of course, that was before Obama decided we didn't need a Navy any more...

Fema unprepared to deliver bottled WATER? What the...

Water is the #1 most important thing to deliver to people in a crisis.

Didn’t any of these fools learn anything in their years at their beloved universities? Common sense trumps education every time.

Parts of ( red state) W. VA are still cut off by 2 1/2 feet of snow dropped by Sandy. Hey, MSM, the storm was 800 mi. wide, and affected something other than the beloved roller coaster of your sepia tinted childhood memories of the Jersey Shore. Send your foreign correspondents who are back for storm coverage to flyover country.

Obama's Katrina.

Yes, it is, but no one will know: the "media" won't report it 'cuz it will make Zero look bad. Now if Bush was still Prez, they'd be all over it!

“Ms. Wright was unable to say when or how the water would be delivered from the distribution center to needy Hurricane Sandy victims in New Jersey, Staten Island, Long Island, and other boroughs of New York City. Vendors “are currently being evaluated,” she said, and when the vendors are announced, they will provide information on how local distribution will occur.”

Have no fear, thirsty citizens, “vendors are being evaluated”. No doubt the whole process will be completed with a week or two and then distribution can begin.

This administration and its agencies are so filled with incompetent, corrupt, moronic bureaucrats and community organizers. I can't begin to imagine how long it will take a Romney administration to turn this one around. In the meantime, a lot of people are suffering, and I fear it's going to become much worse.

"Heck, just bid it out to Walmart. They’ll have all the water they need by eod today."

As an ex-FedExer, let me say that Walmart's logistics are fantatsic. We'd get electronic stuff flown into O'Hare from Asia, within 3 hours we had truckloads of it to the Walmart Regional distribution "warehouse" where they would load DIRECTLY into Walmart trailers for delivery, the skids wouldn't even touch the floor. Those teucks would be on their way to the stores in 90 minutes.

No. Let the doomberg bring water, personally, to Staten Island and other disaster areas! He can well afford truckloads to those areas!

There’s water everywhere there. Boil it.

Without electricity, without homes? I'll bet you are comfy and cozy.

They should just give everyone $500 to go buy their own food and water and place to live for a few days/weeks rather than waiting on FEMA to do anything.
