I have several Libertarian friends who are writing in “Gary Johnson” no matter what I say. We have argued back and forth for weeks now. They believe if the allow Obama to win, then people will “wake up” whereas if they help Romney win, “the people will be lulled back to sleep”
I cannot convince them that if Obama wins they won’t have a chance to make it better “next time” because we will be living in a socialist nation and they will not be able to say or do anything.
I was a registered Libertarian (fiscally, not in regards to foreign politics) for eight years and I genuinely believe Gary Johnson is a good man. I voted for Harry Brown (God rest his soul) twice. He’s a RINO, but he’s a decent person who believes in this this Republic and Obama will forever doom our country to governmental dependence. This is the anthesis of the Libertarian philosophy.
