I lived through the 5 week Auckland, New Zealand, black out in 1998 that occurred just before a scheduled gay pride parade. As a very committed Christian, I certainly didn’t deserve it. God puts us where He puts us. It’s multiple tests- do we trust Him? Do people criticize us for being where we are and our circumstances? I certainly didn’t support the gay pride parade, but I was where God put me. I had to trust God that He’d take care of me, make the best of it, and be a light in literal darkness. My prayers are with you.
